Living History at Gettysburg

Who knew that 145 year old women would like me?
This was a reenactment of Union general Meades staff concerning the intelligence they had gathered on confederate positions and units in battle. Once they heard my southern accent, they were ready to toss me in the stockade as a spy. They let me go once they saw the destructive weapon I held in my hands.
The 124th New York was doing drills on the battlefield just north of Little Round Top. We got to see several live fire demonstrations, as well as drills commonly used by the soldiers.

Hey Forrest-
Your sister told me about your blog. I've always wanted to do a tour of C.W. battlefields. I've never been to Gettysburg, but your pics have convinced me that I need to go soon.
Thanks for sharing!
